Letter From Victorian Country Women's Association 2005
I write to convey sincere thanks for the presentation from Postive Women at our recent Associated Country Women of the World, South Pacific Area Conference. The presentation was so professionally presented as well as having a dramatic emotional impact. I do not believe that I have seen any presentation that has had such an impact on so many. I received so many positive comments, on the wake up call the message brought, and the message pitched to the predominantly female audience who could identify daughters and grand-daughters caught in Joy's dilemma. It had a tremendously powerful educational opportunity and evoked much disire to be able to do something about "it". It took the issue away from just bing a "gay man's" matter to one affecting innocent families. Many commented that they had not looked at it that way before. Stories such as this have a wide spread and most effective ability to educate. I thank all for the honest laying bare of souls and the pain that was there to bring this unforgettable story. Thank you most sincerely, Paula Pither-Mills State President Country Women's Association of Victoria Inc. |
